Acoustic Alternative (uk)

The ‘Acoustic Alternative’, is a platform for alternative/indie artists to play acoustic gigs. While their plenty of promoters out there putting on alternative and indie bands. Their few options for these alternative artists and bands who may want to play an acoustic show. As they may not fall into the traditional, ‘acoustic/folk’, bracket of music desired by many other acoustic event promoters.

Hence we aim to fill that void and provide a platform for alternative and indie artists to be able to play acoustic gigs.

By, ‘alternative’, we open to all different types of music, played acoustically. In the links section of this site are some examples/videos of a few artists we would say falls into the ‘Acoustic Alternative bracket’. These range from the almost traditional acoustic/folk of vintage Neil Young and Leonard Cohen all the way to the way out there in the form of a fuzzed up J Mascis and beyond. As well as everything in between of course.

Please note these videos are not an exhaustive list, (in fact very far from it!). We are open to anything musically deemed, ‘alternative and acoustic’, (including instrumental acts), from, (members of), bands, duos and solo performers and will listen to all submissions.

If you wish to play at one of our events. Please email us at: wavelengthmusicuk@outlook.com

Please include a link to your music, website, and facebook etc. While not quite absolutely essential, a link to a youtube video or similar, of the act playing ‘acoustically’ would be a big plus. So we have an idea of what you would sound like live.

Please also note the following:

For logistical purposes, we are ideally looking for acts made up of one or two people, (three max). We are open to all sorts of set ups and different instruments and effects being used. However, these are ‘acoustic shows’ so the nearer to straight ahead acoustic guitar and vocal your set up is the better.

In short simpler live set ups are preferred.

We look forward to your submissions and hearing your music.
